Hull City have completed the signing of Jimmy Bullard from Fulham for a club record fee of £5million.

The Tigers agreed a fee with Fulham for Bullard on Thursday and the player has now agreed personal terms and passed a medical.

Bullard has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract at the KC Stadium and he is likely to be paraded in front of his new fans before the FA Cup fourth-round clash against Millwall at the KC Stadium on Saturday.

Tigers boss Phil Brown was delighted to land the former Wigan star, feeling it signals their ambition to establish themselves in the Premier League.

"We're trying to improve a squad that has been competing in the Premier League and that just needed a bit of bolstering," Brown told the club's official website.

"I think this signing shows everybody just how serious Paul Duffen, Phil Brown and Hull City are with regards to this year's Premier League.

"Jimmy is a good player, end of story."
