Redknapp done with signings

Harry Redknapp doubts he will make anymore signings in the January transfer window following Jermain Defoe's acquisition.

Redknapp has raided former club Portsmouth to bring back Defoe in the New Year, although the striker failed to inspire Spurs on Sunday.

The north Londoners slipped to a third consecutive defeat away from home in the league after going down 1-0 at Wigan.

However, despite this latest set-back in Spurs' attempts to move away from the drop zone, Redknapp has no plans to get out the chequebook again.

"I'm trying to get the best out of what I've got," he told Sky Sports 1. "This is the hand I've been dealt basically.

"None really, I've not got anybody else (I can bring in). It's difficult to find people.

"You've got to be careful. If you can't find people that will improve us I won't do anything."

Redknapp has questioned his side's desire to grind out results following their last minute heart-ache at The JJB on Sunday.

"That's three games away from home where we've been beaten in the last minute," he continued. "We can't keep doing that and shooting ourselves in the foot.

"They get a corner, we've can't defend a corner properly and that's what happens again. It happened at Newcastle and it happened at West Brom.

"It's down to desire to go on and get a result. It's something that's been wrong at Tottenham for a long time now. It's very hard.

"We've just got to keeping going really. We've got to try and pick ourselves up again, but it's disappointing. We're better than that."
