Nielsen hopes for Bhoys deal

Chelsea youngster Morten Nielsen is keen to join Celtic, rather than sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

The Danish striker is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season and has yet to make an impact in the first-team squad.

He has been linked with French side Rennes, and has also been offered a three-year deal to stick with Chelsea.

However, the teenager's agent and father Benny says Nielsen is hoping to agree a move to Scottish champions Celtic after visiting the club last week.

"Morten's first choice is Celtic," Nielsen snr told the Scottish Sun."The people were nice to him and the stadium is beautiful.

"I was with Morten last week at Celtic. We had talks and we hope to have more this week.

"Other clubs are interested in Morten, but he has told me he wants to sign for Celtic.

"Chelsea have offered a three-year contract, but he doesn't want to sign it. Young players never get into the first team there and he wants to take the next step and train and play with a first team.

"His Chelsea contract is over on 1st July and, hopefully, we can speak more with Celtic."
