Hull City have signed defender Kamil Zayatte from Young Boys on a permanent deal, while Andy Dawson has signed a new contract.

The Guinea international has impressed at the KC Stadium after joining on a season-long loan from Swiss outfit Young Boys Berne in August.

City had agreed a fee with Young Boys to sign him on a long-term basis when they originally took him on loan and they have now made it permanent.

Zayatte has made 19 appearances for City so far this season and he has formed a solid partnership with Michael Turner at the heart of the Tigers' defence this term.

Meanwhile, Dawson has pledged his future to the club by signing a deal to keep him at the KC Stadium until 2011 with an option for a further year.

The left-back has established himself as a key member of Phil Brown's side and he has been rewarded with the new deal.
