Fulham have snapped up non-league starlet Ben Wright.
The 20-year-old has arrived from Hampton & Richmond Borough for an undisclosed fee.
The Cottagers agreed a deal last week and were set to trial him this week, but they moved to finalise the transfer after three Football League clubs also lodged bids.
The deal represents a club record for Hampton, beating the £40,000 they got for Leroy Griffiths in 2001.
"It is more than the £40,000 we got previously, but not that much more and certainly not a six-figure sum," said manager Alan Devonshire.
"As soon as he settles in to training every day they are going to start seeing some special things from the lad.
"He has made such progress in the four months he has been here, so I wouldn't say a Premier League appearance this season is beyond him.
"When I moved to West Ham I was told I'd be in the reserves for a year, but injuries meant I made my debut after three weeks.
"We are disappointed to lose him because he was winning games on his own, he has been that good."
