Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of 17-year-old Dutchman Arsenio Halfhuid.
Skysports.com broke the news of Villa having agreed a fee with Excelsior for the highly-rated defender on Tuesday and now the club has confirmed his capture on a three-year deal.
A number of clubs from across Europe were linked with the player but it is Martin O'Neill who has stolen a march on his transfer rivals.
The 17-year-old, who is the cousin of former Chelsea and Southampton defender Ken Monkou, will join the club's youth team as he is seen as one for the future.
