Roque Santa Cruz has insisted he is happy at Blackburn and denied reports from a Paraguay radio station that he told them he expects a bid from Manchester City.
Speculation has suggested that Santa Cruz could be set for a move away from Ewood Park during the transfer window.
And the 27-year-old had been quoted as telling 970 radio station that he knew Man City were 'going to make a proposal'.
However, Santa Cruz has now clarified the situation by explaining that his comments were lost in translation.
He is enjoying life at Blackburn and is working on his fitness as he recovers from a calf injury.
"It's an interview that hasn't been translated properly," Santa Cruz told Sky Sports News chief news reporter Bryan Swanson.
"All I have said is that I only know what has been said in the press - I know nothing more.
"I want Blackburn fans to know that I am happy at the club and I am concentrating on getting match fit."
