Cristiano Ronaldo is confident Manchester United will win the Premier League title after the winger was named Fifa's World Player of the Year.
The Portuguese ace held off competition from the likes of Lionel Messi and Fernando Torres to collect the prestigious award in Zurich on Monday night.
The honour caps a momentous year for Ronaldo, who scooped all the biggest individual accolades after helping United to become domestic, European and world champions.
Ronaldo is now setting his sights on further trophies after United boosted their hopes of defending their Premier League crown with a 3-0 home win over rivals Chelsea on Sunday.
"What my team has done already is the pinnacle of my career and there is more to come," said Ronaldo.
"We have already proved we are one of the best in the world and we are moving into position to defend what we have.
"In the Premier League we are in a good position and while we respect our opponents I believe we are going to win it.
"In the Champions League the level of performance is outstanding. Barcelona are playing great football and I like them. What they do in Spain is impressive. I am happy for Barcelona, but we want to stay No.1.
"I have won everything in 2008 with United and as an individual. I can now tell my family to set off the fireworks."
