Wigan Athletic have confirmed the signing of Colombia international striker Hugo Rodallega.
Rodallega has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at the JJB Stadium after passing a medical and winning a work permit.
Wigan had agreed a fee with Necaxa earlier this month and they have put the finishing touches to his move.
Latics boss Steve Bruce was delighted to bring in the 23-year-old having seen Emile Heskey leave for Aston Villa.
"It has taken a while to get all the paperwork completed on what has been quite a complicated transfer, but I'm relieved it's all been finalised," Bruce told the club's official website.
"This is great news for us. I believe this lad can be as big a success in this country as some of our other imports.
"He is strong and quick, with an eye for goal and I am convinced he can adapt to the pace and physicality of the English Premier League."
Rodallega is hoping to repay the faith shown in him by Bruce.
"To play in the English Premier League is a dream come true, now I want to show Steve and all the Wigan fans that they have made a good choice."
Wigan are waiting to see if they can gain international clearance in time for Rodallega to make his debut against Liverpool on Wednesday.
