Everton star Marouane Fellaini has apologised to his team-mates after being ruled out of the forthcoming Merseyside derbies.

The Belgian midfielder will miss the league and FA Cup clashes with Liverpool through suspension after picking up his 10th booking of the season against Hull City.

It means Fellaini will be forced to miss next Monday's Premier League clash at Anfield as well the FA Cup tie six days later.

"I have apologised to my team-mates because they are two big games against Liverpool and I will not be there to help out," Fellaini told the club's official website.

"It is always difficult watching games from the stand but I will be rooting for them.

"I did everything I could not to get yellow cards but then I got another one."
