Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe believes the 1-1 draw at home to Portsmouth was a fair result.
It was the first time Defoe had played against his former club since his switch 12 days ago.
The 26-year-old marked his home debut of his second spell at the club with a goal as he cancelled out David Nugent's strike for Pompey.
Despite Spurs striker Darren Bent missing a golden opportunity to steal all three points the former West Ham and Portsmouth ace accepted that both teams deserved something from the game.
"Both sides had chances so I suppose it's a fair result," he explained.
"David (James) is a fantastic goalkeeper and kept them in it at times. Hopefully I can get a few more goals and keep us moving up the table.
"I enjoyed the game today and it would have been nice if we could have won."
Much of the build up prior to the game had focused on the abuse suffered by Pompey captain Sol Campbell when the two sides met at Fratton Park earlier in the season.
Still under the leadership of Harry Redknapp Portsmouth ran out 2-0 winners then with Defoe scoring in the match.
Although Campbell was booed throughout the clash at White Hart Lane Pompey goalkeeper David James felt the atmosphere was not over the top.
"Before the game the concern was that it was going to be in bad taste but it wasn't," he stated.
"The fans let us know what they thought of us but it was okay.
"Sometimes it was backs against the walls but to get a point keeps them below us and maybe climbs us a place in the table too."
