West Brom defender Marek Cech has revealed that he wants to leave the club after falling out with manager Tony Mowbray.
The full-back, who only signed in the summer for £1.4million from Porto, has claimed that his manager lied to him after Mowbray promised he would play against Aston Villa on Saturday but opted instead for Paul Robinson.
The 25-year-old started the first game of the season against Arsenal albeit in an unfamiliar right-midfield role but since he has found himself on the substitutes' bench.
Cech was recalled to the starting XI for the 2-0 win over Tottenham in late December with regular left-back Robinson suspended and was one of the Baggies' stand-out performers.
After keeping his place for the FA Cup draw with Peterborough, the Slovakian international found himself back on the bench for Saturday's derby defeat.
"I feel I've been lied to," Cech told a Slovakian news agency.
"I felt I'd played well enough in two previous games to play against Aston Villa, but the manager decided to pick Robinson, which I feel was wrong.
"As far as I'm concerned, I want to leave West Bromwich. I haven't been given the opportunities to play that I believe I warrant."
Italian Serie A high flyers Napoli have been linked with the Slovakian international but the player indicates that no bid has yet been made.
"I've had no concrete offers from Napoli, but if I was then I'd want to speak to them," he added.
It is not the first time Cech has spoken out against his manager after declaring shortly after Christmas that Mowbray had lied to him after he was told that he would be a first-team regular when he signed.
