Bellamy to have City medical

West Ham striker Craig Bellamy will have a medical with Manchester City on Monday.

Bellamy is set to travel to Manchester to undergo a routine medical and thrash out personal terms after a fee for his services was agreed over the weekend.

Bellamy, who did not take part in Sunday's 3-1 win over Fulham at Upton Park, reportedly requested a transfer last week after City had three bids rejected for his services.

However, City remained undeterred in their pursuit of the 29-year-old and the Eastlands side have now struck an agreement with The Hammers.

West Ham have not divulged the exact fee for the former Liverpool, Blackburn and Newcastle man, but Sky Sports News chief news reporter Bryan Swanson understands the deal is worth up to £14million.

Tottenham had also reportedly been in the running for Bellamy's services, but it seems the fleet-footed striker is now set to rejoin for Rovers boss Hughes at City.

Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola is now certain to step up his search for a new striker after previously confirming he would be able to spend the funds from Bellamy's sale on attacking reinforcements.
