Fabio Grosso's agent has played down reports linking his client with a move to Manchester City.
The Lyon full-back has emerged as the latest high-profile name to be touted as a New Year arrival at Eastlands.
The 31-year-old is said to be flattered by the news but his representative insists no contact has been made with City.
"These rumours have also reached me," Danilo Caravello told Calciomercato.
"But I have not been contacted by anybody.
"It's true that Manchester City wants to invest a significant amount of money in the market and they are interested in major players such as (Gianluigi) Buffon.
"The fact that Fabio is being linked to such a prestigious club can do nothing but make the lad proud."
Caravello believes Grosso will remain in France until at least the end of the current campaign, with the Italian keen to help Lyon pursue glory at home and abroad.
"The team are achieving important results both in the league and in the Champions League," he added.
"I believe that, at least until the end of the season, the player will not move from Lyon.
"Obviously if a good offer arrived, things could change."
