Hull City manager Phil Brown says his side's never-say-die attitude will keep them in the top flight of English football.
The Tigers picked up a point away at Stoke City on Saturday, but Brown says only a poor refereeing decision stopped them leaving Staffordshire with all three.
Brown told Sky Sports: "There is a never-say-die attitude coming out of that changing room and it is fantastic to work with these kinds of players.
"Everyone is honest and everyone stands up to the task. Everyone puts a shift in when they are playing for Hull City and that is what you have to do.
"We have come a long way - from 23rd in the Championship to up with the big boys in the Premier League is a fantastic journey."
Brown says he thought the visitors had done enough to win the match and he believes the decision to award Stoke a 72nd-minute penalty was unfortunate.
"If truth be known, I think it was two points dropped," Brown said.
"I thought it was harsh from our point of view and you have to be 100 per cent certain - I cannot see how he can categorically state that Boaz Myhill touched him or Paul McShane touched him or whoever.
"I thought it was very theatrical the way he went down."
Brown says he was happy with the overall team performance, but he singled out defender Michael Turner for special praise.
"It never is comfortable when you come to Stoke. You have to put your head in and put your bodies on the line. You have to stand up and be counted and I thought we did manfully today.
"One thing you have to do when you come to Stoke is head the ball and I thought we did that today. Michael was fantastic and he was my man of the match by a long, long way.
"Mamady Sidibe is 6ft 5in and Ricardo Fuller is not short of a few inches but Michael stood up to the task like a true centre-half should do.
"It is a hostile atmosphere when you come to the Britannia Stadium and we had to make sure that we sent our fans home with a smile of their face.
"Three points would have been fantastic, but we got a point and we are now three undefeated."
