Pascal Chimbonda wants to stay at Sunderland and force his way back into the first-team reckoning, according to his agent.
The summer signing from Tottenham has failed to feature in Sunderland's last four games after a reported bust-up with Roy Keane.
Reports have linked French champions Lyon with a move for Chimbonda as they look to bolster their defensive options in the January transfer window.
However, Chimbonda's representative, Willie McKay says there has been no contact with Lyon and that the right-back is happy at the Stadium of Light.
"There's been no contact from Lyon," McKay told The Sun.
"Roy Keane picks the team but Pascal's quite happy at Sunderland and I believe he'll stay in the Premier League."
