Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is 'very proud' of his side's fight back against Everton at Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners headed into the encounter off the back of some poor form and were stunned early on when Leon Osman handed the visitors the lead.
But Wenger's troops rallied in the second half and goals from Samir Nasri, Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott sealed the turnaround.
The French coach praised the quality of Saturday's opposition and admits his charges were forced to work hard for their three points.
He said: "I thought it was a good football match against a good Everton side who started strong.
"We were of course shocked to be 1-0 down but I believe we have shown personality and great desire to fight back.
"We played some outstanding football today. I am very proud of that victory because it was a very good one.
"We started a little bit tentative and Everton were very strong at the start.
"But you could feel we were beginning to dominate the last 20 minutes of the first half."
Centre-back Kolo Toure was forced off at the break with a shoulder injury and Wenger admits he is unlikely to feature in the UEFA Champions League clash against Fenerbahce on Tuesday.
Wenger added: "Certainly (he is a big doubt). He has an injury on his shoulder. It is do with a ligament. It was very painful at half-time. I do not know how long he will be out."
