Rafa Benitez believes his side were good value for their 3-2 success at home to Wigan on Saturday.
The Reds have made a habit of coming from behind of late and did so again at Anfield.
Amr Zaki bagged a brace for the visitors, while two goals from Dirk Kuyt and Albert Riera ensured the points remained on Merseyside.
Liverpool had been 2-1 down at the interval, but Benitez feels a monumental effort in the second half justified their success.
"I think if you analyse the whole game we were playing well, but when we were playing better we conceded the second goal," the Spaniard told Sky Sports.
"In the second half it was just one way, we were attacking, attacking.
"It was just a question of time, but we have strong players who believed we would keep creating and score."
The turning point in the contest came on 75 minutes when Antonio Valencia was dismissed for the Latics.
The Ecuadorian winger was shown a first yellow card for encroaching at a free-kick and a second for a wild lunge on Xabi Alonso.
Benitez admits the first caution was slightly harsh, but believes justice was done overall.
"Maybe we kicked the ball and it was our fault more than them," he said on Valencia's initial yellow card.
"But the second one, for me, was a straight red card. It was a very dangerous tackle."
Benitez also praised Daniel Agger for the manner in which he responded to gifting Zaki Wigan's opener.
The Danish defender was caught in possession following a poor pass from keeper Jose Reina, but put that mistake behind him as he set up Kuyt's first for the Reds.
"(Andrea) Dossena was available and Reina tried to play with Agger, who was not watching and tried to dribble it and it was mistake," added Benitez.
"But he showed character when he ran forward with the ball for the assist for the first goal."
