Spartak Moscow are seeking £12 million for striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.
The Russia international is a target for Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham, with Spurs having already had a £10 million offer rejected by Spartak.
Spartak general director Sergei Shavlo declared last week: "We have received two offers. One of them is from an English team.
"Since it's not a team playing in European Champions League we are more likely than not to reject their offer."
Who knows, it might be Manchester United that they have accepted due to a champions league spot.
