Red Star Belgrade captain Nenad Milijas will fly to the UK for talks with Wolves after his international duties with Serbia.
The midfielder helped his national side to a 2-0 victory over Faroe Islands on Wednesday and is expected to put pen to paper when he arrives at Molineux on Thursday.
Wolves have reportedly agreed a €2.8m deal with the debt-redden Serbian outfit but have yet to speak to the player regarding personal terms.
Milijas has attracted interest from rival midlands clubs Aston Villa and Birmingham but Wolves expect him to complete his switch immediately when he arrives in the country.
The versatile player will become Mick McCarthy's first signing of the summer as he looks to strengthen for their survival campaign next season and Milijas will provide him with more options.
