Sbragia seeks away-day success

Ricky Sbragia is hoping a trip to Bolton on Saturday can reinvigorate Sunderland's stagnating season.

The Black Cats find themselves deep in relegation trouble with three games of the Premier League campaign remaining.

A run of just one win in 10 games has seen them slip from the relative safety of mid-table, to four points above the drop zone.

It is now imperative that they take something from a visit to the Reebok Stadium this weekend, but Sbragia's side have gone eight games without a win on their travels.

It had been suggested that escaping the tension-filled atmosphere of the Stadium of Light would benefit the Black Cats, but their manager is not so sure.

"In a way I would say no, because our away record has not been great either, and I would have preferred to have done better at home," Sbragia said.

"But when we go away from home we get a big crowd, we have good support, and we have got to produce and produce soon. I hope it would be (beneficial being away), but I'm not so sure.

"We have to change it around going away from home and become difficult to beat and look to try and get something."
