Tony Mowbray is still keeping his feet on the ground despite West Brom's relegation defying 3-1 win over Wigan on Saturday.
The Baggies boss was delighted with his team after they rekindled dreams of pulling off a miraculous escape with a crucial victory at the Hawthorns.
Two goals from Marc-Antoine Fortune and a Chris Brunt strike kept Albion's hopes of avoiding the drop alive, but with the visit of Rafa Benitez's Liverpool next on the calendar, Mowbray knows something out of the ordinary is needed.
"I don't think we are going to get carried away," Mowbray told Sky Sports. "We'll just keep going. [I'm] delighted again for the supporters.
"We have a huge task still ahead of us but ultimately it all rests on next week's game.
"If we can get some sort of result and take it to the last day against Blackburn then anything can happen and that's what we have to strive to do.
The West Brom boss, whose team are now only three points behind Hull City, have been criticised for not playing enough incisive football but Mowbray sees it differently.
He added: "We are at the stage really where we are gambling losing football matches to win them and that's the way the game panned out.
"I would prefer to do it that way rather than it keeping it close and tight and 0-0 and trying to nick a set-play - you have got to back the quality of your striker sometimes."
