Guus Hiddink has once again reiterated his intention to step down as Chelsea boss at the end of the season.
The Dutchman, who was appointed on an interim basis following the sacking of Luiz Felipe Scolari in February, is contracted to the Blues until 30th May.
He has made it clear that he will not be extending that arrangement, as he has every intention of turning his sole focus to his duties with the Russia national side.
Hiddink insists it is impossible to combine the two roles on a long-term basis, especially as Chelsea's continuous quest for silverware requires maximum concentration.
"We have done it the past four months because there were only two games in March in the international calendar," he said.
"In June we have another game coming up and the English league is ended. In September, October and November there is a very busy international schedule and when you are in a very big club like Chelsea it is irresponsible to do both jobs.
"It cannot be done. Chelsea are a big responsibility and you have to be in charge, day in and day out."
Hiddink has admitted to enjoying his brief spell at Stamford Bridge, with the position giving him his first taste of life in the Premier League.
He has also been awarded the opportunity to work with some of English football's top talents, with Frank Lampard earning special praise for the manner in which he has conducted himself during a sometimes turbulent season for the Blues.
"He is even better than I thought. If you see him doing things in training you see the details which he can transmit in the games," said Hiddink.
"My respect has grown and I rate him rather highly. I cannot say one or five, but I think he is one of the top players in the world.
"Frank is a terrific example of what we expect from a professional player in his attitude and commitment. He is one of those players where sometimes you have to say 'Please, a little bit down, don't go over the top'.
"I like that very much. Sometimes you have to protect them a little bit because they are over-committed."
