Matthew Derbyshire signed off his loan spell at Olympiakos in style as he played a key role in their Greek Cup final win over AEK Athens.
In what was the most remarkable of games the Blackburn Rovers front-man came off the bench with his side 2-0 down at half-time.
A brilliant individual display saw the England U21 international score twice as the game eventually went to penalties after a 4-4 draw following extra-time.
Derbyshire was the game's standout performers as he also scored twice in the ensuing shoot-out as Olympiakos eventually prevailed 19-18.
Olympiakos, who also won the Greek title, are thought to be keen to turn the loan arrangement into a permanent deal but they are yet to engage in discussions with Blackburn.
Derbyshire spoke briefly after the game: "I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to come to Olympiakos and I hope that Blackburn and Olympiakos can come to an agreement."
