Arsene Wenger has insisted there is no danger of complacency creeping in as Arsenal seek to put pressure on the leading pack.
The Gunners look set to secure UEFA Champions League qualification after opening up an eight-point cushion over Aston Villa.
They remain ten points behind Manchester United with very little chance of winning the Premier League this season, but Wenger maintains there is still a lot to play for.
Arsenal must face each of the top three teams before the end of the season, starting with a trip to Liverpool on Tuesday.
Wenger is determined to cut the gap on the Reds to six points and enjoy a strong finish to the domestic campaign.
Asked how important it is to keep winning, Wenger said on Sky Sports News: "It is what we live for and we want to win the game tomorrow. We are not happy with only trying to remain fourth, we want to get closer to the top.
"We have a good opportunity to come back to within six points of Liverpool and we want to take that possibility."
Arsenal's makeshift defence struggled on Saturday as Chelsea progressed to the final of the FA Cup with a 2-1 victory at Wembley.
Wenger, who may recall Bacary Sagna at Anfield, is confident the Gunners will improve and avoid the same mistakes in future.
"It is true that we could defend better but we could have scored more goals as well. We had a few opportunities on crosses that we did not take," he reflected.
"But it was a very tight game. Both teams went for it and in the end they won it on a misunderstanding between our central defence and the goalkeeper.
"But we have to accept that, deal with it and make sure there are no repeats because we have many more big games in front of us that we feel we can win."
