Wayne Rooney is still looking to improve, claiming he wants to become a more fearsome striker in the future.
At 23-years-old the Manchester United ace accepts that he is far from the finished article, despite already boasting an impressive CV.
The England international has racked up 50 caps for his country, claimed two Premier League titles, the World Club Cup and the UEFA Champions League, but he insists he is not done yet.
He knows that if he is to remain at the top of his game he must strive for continuous improvement, and has identified goalscoring as an area he is keen to work on.
"There is still a lot more to come from me," he said.
"I would love to score more goals consistently each year. I am still working on that and hopefully I can improve."
He added: "I am only 23 but I suppose I started off at an early age so I have achieved quite a lot.
"I understand people expect things of me now.
"I just have to keep playing as well as I can. That is what I must try and do.
"If I can help Manchester United or England win trophies it would be great for me."
Rooney has managed to notch 17 goals for United this season and seven for England, despite often being deployed out of position at club level.
He accepts that filling a role for the good of the team is more important than individual aspirations and insists he is happy to play anywhere providing he is able to help his side to victory.
"I have played in a few different positions over the last few weeks," he said.
"Sometimes you can't express yourself as much as you would like but you have to do a job for the team.
"For me it is easy to see the bigger picture. Maybe other players around the world don't want to put the work in.
"You never really see any of the top players running back and helping out like that. For me it is about the team. I have no problem with that."
