Tony Pulis has warned his Stoke City players not to take Premier League safety for granted after moving six points clear of trouble.
The Potters' 2-0 win at bottom club West Bromwich Albion lifted the club up to 13th in the table with seven games of the season remaining.
Survival could be all-but guaranteed in the next two matches as fellow strugglers Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers both visit the Britannia Stadium.
However, Pulis is not getting carried away by the prospect of a second season in the top flight and the Potters boss wants his players to focus on the next game.
"There are still seven games to go and we have to keep our feet on the ground because there are no gimmes in this league," Pulis told the Sentinel.
"We've got two unbelievable home games to come now, with Alan Shearer coming to town with all the hype.
"We've got to make sure our supporters are up for it. It's a massive, massive game for both clubs.
"We have got to be very level-headed and remember the next game is always the most important.
"We mustn't forget that Sheffield United were something like 10 points clear of trouble at one stage and still went down a couple of years ago."
