Tony Pulis has insisted that Stoke are not safe yet despite being six points clear of the relegation zone.
The Potters were held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle last weekend and face another crucial game against fellow strugglers Blackburn this Saturday.
Pulis accepts that Stoke lack experience but he maintains there will be no complacency as the scrap for survival goes down to the wire.
The manager realises his men could be dragged further into trouble if they do not claim something from the home clash with Rovers.
He told Sky Sports News: "I still think we have a lot of work to do. There is still a group of eight or nine teams that are involved in this scrap and everybody has got a chance.
"Anybody can put a run of results together to get out of it and we have got a very tough game on Saturday against Blackburn
"They are down there fighting with us but they have got some very good, experienced Premier League players and we will be showing them the respect they deserve.
"Our lads have not got that experience and it is all very fresh and new for us but we will give it our best shot again.
"We were disappointed that we did not beat Newcastle but as long as the players give it their best shot that should be good enough."
Stoke have surprised many with their achievements this term, having been installed as one of the favourites to go down at the start of the campaign.
However, Pulis does not want any praise at this stage and has expressed his irritation at the way teams are judged prematurely.
He explained: "We haven't done anything yet. The season does not finish until it finishes and I get annoyed sometimes that people can get talked up or talked down after 10 games, let alone after 38 games.
"I think people should sit down at the end of the season and reflect on what has happened and not over periods of the season."
