Mowbray eyes winning streak

Tony Mowbray believes West Brom have the quality to avoid relegation but may need better fortune.

The Baggies are currently bottom of the Premier League table and seven points from safety but Mowbray is refusing to give up hope.

He has been pleased with the majority of his side's performances and feels West Brom could have been in a more promising situation.

Mowbray is looking forward to the final eight games of the season but accepts that Albion will need to start picking up points - and fast.

"We are a team that won the Championship with some good players and we find ourselves finding life in the Premier League difficult," he told Sky Sports News.

"But we believe that most weeks we are very close to getting results and it is very fine margins at this level, whether it is a centre-forward missing a chance or a centre-half making a poor decision.

"Generally, week-in week-out we are in the game and maybe (we need) a little bit of fortune here and there to ignite this winning streak which hopefully will come.

"We have had winning streaks twice this season when we have won three games out of four and three out of five and we need that to happen again pretty quickly."
