Yossi Benayoun has labelled Liverpool team-mate Fernando Torres as 'the best striker in the world'.
Torres is in sparkling form for the title contenders, having struggled with injury during the first half of the season.
He scored a brace in Saturday's 4-0 thrashing of Blackburn Rovers to take his tally to 11 goals in 19 Premier League appearances.
The Spaniard's first against Rovers was a stunning volley and left Benayoun in awe at the 25-year-old's ability.
"The goals he scores are unbelievable - he is the best striker in the world," said Benayoun.
"Look at his first goal against Blackburn, he's always a threat, and makes it look so simple too. It's always easier for us as a team when he is playing."
Meanwhile, Benayoun believes the victory over Blackburn has lifted Liverpool's confidence ahead of the second leg of the UEFA Champions League clash with Chelsea.
The Reds were beaten 3-1 at home in the first leg, but Benayoun is not conceding defeat in the bid to reach the semi-finals.
He added: "It was really important we responded after the disappointment of the Chelsea defeat, and Saturday's win has restored our confidence.
"We know it will be very difficult at Stamford Bridge. We'll just give 100 per cent and try our best.
"You never know in football - anything can happen."
