West Brom chief Tony Mowbray has confirmed he is keeping tabs on Swindon star Simon Cox.
The Robins striker has already attracted attention from rival clubs, with Leicester and Newcastle also linked with a summer swoop this week.
It appears unlikely the 21-year-old, who is one goal off the pace in the race for the League One golden boot award despite Swindon battling against relegation, will remain at the County Ground next season.
Baggies manager Mowbray said: "I think a lot of people are keeping an eye on Simon Cox.
"He is scoring a few goals and you're not doing your job if you're not looking at him."
Swindon boss Danny Wilson has already stressed it will take a huge offer for the club to part with their star striker, while it is understood they are also attempting to convince him to extend the two-and-a-half year deal he penned last January.
