Walcott - I need games

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott feels he needs 'a few games' before recapturing the excellent form he demonstrated prior to his injury.

Walcott suffered a shoulder injury while on international duty with England last November and was forced to undergo surgery on the problem.

The Gunners have felt the weight of Walcott's absence, although they were boosted on Sunday when he made his return in the 3-0 FA Cup fifth round win over Burnley.

Walcott is keen to rediscover the impressive form he displayed prior to the setback, but has urged for patience as he regains match fitness.

He said on the club's official website: "The time has passed a lot quicker than I thought it would. I always had (the Burnley) game, or the Roma away leg, as my comeback target in my mind.

"I was playing really well (before the injury), the boss had shown faith in me to put me in the team and I've got to get back to that level.

"But coming back from injury I know I won't get there straight away, it will take me a few games to get into the swing of things.

"The best thing is to put 100 per cent in, work hard and do my best."
