Samir Nasri has described Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger as 'the greatest coach' he has ever played under.
The 21-year-old joined the Gunners from Marseille in the summer and has caught the eye at times this season, including a notable brace in the win against league leaders Manchester United in November.
And after just seven months in the Premier League, the French attacking midfielder has hailed the impact his compatriot and manager has had on his performances in an Arsenal shirt.
"I don't want to offend my previous coaches, but without hesitating I would say Arsene Wenger is the greatest coach I have ever had," Nasri told L'Equipe.
"He is a real good psychologist. We always talk together, during training-sessions, after matches, we take stock. He has statistics. He compares your match with the previous ones to tell if you ran more or less.
"It adds a demand level that urges you to excel yourself. He always gives you very concrete analysis. It makes me improve in a lot of aspects of my game.
"Moreover he has a huge quality in the football world: he is not a liar. What he says always happens."
The former Marseille starlet explained he can now appreciate English football and claims the rivalry between Arsenal and Tottenham is greater than the one between Paris Saint Germain and l'OM.
"Against Tottenham, it is a kind of war," Nasri added.
"It is an extraordinary rivalry, bigger than between Marseille and Paris. At the end of each match in the changing-room, we always ask for the Tottenham result. If they have lost, everyone is happy."
