Titus welcomes N'Zogbia move

Titus Bramble is already hailing Charles N'Zogbia's impending arrival at the JJB Stadium as a 'fantastic' piece of business.

The Newcastle midfielder is set to complete a club-record move to Wigan on transfer deadline day, with Ryan Taylor moving in the opposite direction to Tyneside.

Bramble played with N'Zogbia at Newcastle and the defender thinks that 22-year-old will prove to be a great signing for the ambitious Lancashire outfit.

"I played with Charles for a couple of years at Newcastle and if the deal goes through, he'll be a fantastic signing for us," Bramble told the Wigan Evening Post.

"He will be a great addition to the squad - he's a very exciting player.

"I think Charles is coming here primarily as a left-winger, but if we were short at left-back or in midfield, he could play there too.

"Maybe he needs a move, similar to myself when I was at Newcastle. If you're not playing week in, week out, you find yourself going a bit stale, and you need a fresh challenge.

"Hopefully he'll get his fresh challenge here. On the other side of the coin, it's sad to be losing Ryan Taylor from our squad.

"He's a fantastic player too, it's disappointing to lose a player of his quality and a great lad."
