Rosenborg manager Erik Hamren has refused to comment on rumours linking the club with a move for Sunderland's Rade Prica.
Sweden striker Prica has not featured for the Black Cats this season and it is reported a number of clubs are keen to secure his signature.
Norwegian outfit Rosenborg are the latest team said to be interested, with speculation suggesting a £500,000 deal could be agreed.
Hamren, though, told Swedish Fotbollskanalen "I can't comment on this. We have a policy at Rosenborg to never comment on rumours, even though I would like to."
Prica added in Aftenposten: "As it is now, I have to leave. I am dying to play first-team football."
