Hiddink quiet on Chelsea

Russia coach Guus Hiddink has refused to discuss the Chelsea job.

The Dutchman is favourite with many bookmakers to succeed Luiz Felipe Scolari - who was sacked by The Blues on Monday.

Hiddink, who is very close to Blues owner Roman Abramovich, was strongly linked with the job before Scolari was appointed last summer.

Hiddink is currently with his Russian squad as they undergo a training camp in Turkey.

When asked about the vacant role at Stamford Bridge, he refused to discuss the situation.

"I have no news for you," the Dutchman said.

"I'm not concerned with what has been said about me elsewhere, I'm working here now."

Hiddink's agent, Cees van Nieuwenhuizen, though, was quick to rule his client out of the running.

"Guus wants to qualify for World Cup for a fourth time in a row and with a fourth different team," he said.

"There's no chance of him going to Chelsea, as he very much likes what he is doing.

"Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich would not make too many friends in Russia if he steals away Guus from the national team."
