Duo on Blues' shortlist

Guus Hiddink and Avram Grant are the only names on Chelsea's shortlist to replace Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Russia head coach Hiddink has been mooted as a potential target, but the Blues could struggle to land his services after his agent claimed the Dutchman would turn down any approach to take over as manager at Stamford Bridge.

Grant, meanwhile, has been strongly linked with a return to West London, with reports suggesting he could be identified as a short-term solution before the club look for a permanent successor in the summer.

Chelsea are expected to make a decision over their new manager in the next 24 hours, ahead of Saturday's FA Cup fifth round tie at Watford.

A number of high-profile coaches have been linked with the role, with speculation intimating that AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti could be a target.

However, the Serie A giants have refused to comment on the speculation as the club prepare for Sunday's crunch derby with bitter rivals Inter Milan.

Former Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard has also been mentioned, and his agent told Sky Sports News on Tuesday that he "would consider" an approach from Chelsea.
