Bolton defender Gary Cahill has hailed the impact of new skipper Kevin Davies.
Davies took the Bolton armband after Kevin Nolan's move to Newcastle during the January transfer window.
The big striker has impressed as Bolton's new skipper and he scored to help them to a 2-1 win over West Ham at the weekend.
Cahill insists everyone in the Bolton squad is right behind Davies and he feels the former Southampton and Blackburn man leads by example at the Reebok Stadium.
"He has been outstanding and taken to the captaincy brilliantly as well," said Cahill.
"All the players back him 100%, because he leads by example. If everyone followed his effort and determination we would be in the top half of the table.
"Kevin's got another goal and he is just getting better. He will keep improving until the end of the season.
"His confidence is high and he must believe he is going to score in every game, which is brilliant."
