Everton striker Victor Anichebe has vowed to fight for his future at Goodison Park, following reports of a training ground bust-up with David Moyes.
Reports earlier this week claimed Anichebe was involved in ugly scenes with Moyes after the Toffees boss allegedly blocked a possible move to Hull City on transfer deadline day.
Anichebe was left out of the squad for Wednesday's FA Cup replay win over Liverpool fuelling more rumours over his long-term future.
However, Anichebe insists he wants to stay at Everton and admits he was left 'embarrassed' by the reports of a bust-up.
"I don't want to speak about anything that goes on at the training ground but I will say that I was not verbally abusive to the manager," Anichebe told the club's official website.
"The report that was in a newspaper this morning was not right. I didn't row with Steve Round and wasn't escorted from Finch Farm by members of the medical staff.
"I have got great respect for the manager, the coaches, all my team-mates and the supporters and I am embarrassed by the report this morning.
"I'm an Everton player and am proud to be. I want to put this behind me and move on again.
"I want to fight for a place in the team and I want to repay the manager for the faith he has shown in me in the past."
