Portsmouth manager Tony Adams insists he has been given no hint that his job at Fratton Park is under threat.
Pompey have lost six of their last seven Premier League games to slump towards relegation danger and Adams has led the club to only two league wins since replacing Harry Redknapp as manager in October.
But Portsmouth have fiercely denied newspaper speculation that Alan Curbishley is being lined up as a replacement and Adams is preparing his team for a crucial home game against Liverpool on Saturday.
The former England captain said: "It's not my job to focus on what the newspapers say. My job is the manager of Portsmouth Football Club and I'll continue to do that until they tell me they don't want me.
"I've had regular conversations with the owner in the last few days, particularly on Sunday when I was at the club all day with the transfer window and he was there wanting to know all that was going on.
"But there has been no suggestion they don't want me to just get on with it."
