Maynor Figueroa headed home in stoppage time to give Wigan a dramatic 1-0 victory over Tottenham.
Jermain Defoe started alongside Roman Pavlyuchenko in a new-look Spurs formation but received little service throughout the afternoon with chances at a minimum.
Wigan rarely threatened either and it looked as though the game was heading for a goalless draw until Figueroa netted from Ryan Taylor's corner.
The late strike left Spurs in the relegation zone and extended Wigan's winning run to four games.
