Silvestre suffers setback

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that defender Mikael Silvestre will be out for most of February.

The 31-year-old injured his thigh in the FA Cup third round win over Plymouth on 3rd January and hasn't played since.

The former Manchester United man has played ten times in the Premier League this season since his summer move from Old Trafford for an undisclosed fee.

Silvestre was expected to be back sooner but Wenger explains that he has had a minor setback.

"Silvestre has had a little setback so he will be two or three weeks more," he explained.

Apart from the Frenchman Wenger confirmed the Gunners didn't have any new injuries ahead of weekend's game with West Ham.

"I don't think we have any new injuries from the game at Everton," he added.

"I will change things a little because we played on Tuesday, but this game against West Ham is very important to us.

"I will make changes, but I don't want to disrupt the side too much."
