Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo believes that 'special' players are worth £100million.
The winger's comments come after near neighbours Manchester City were willing to splash the amount on AC Milan star Kaka.
Aside from Kaka the only players in the world that would be able to command such a fee would possibly be Ronaldo himself and Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
The former Sporting Lisbon ace also expressed his belief that it will not be too long before a club actually breaks the £100million barrier to sign a player.
"Special players are maybe worth that," he told the Daily Mirror.
"I agree with that. When you are good, when you are a special player, you are more expensive than the other ones.
"That's normal. It's like cars. Some cars are better than others, that's why they're more expensive.
"It's the same with players. But this is only my opinion."
Meanwhile Ronaldo believes his performances last season only warranted a nine out of ten.
The winger scored an astonishing 42 goals last term, helping United to win the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
The individual accolades soon followed, with the 23-year-old picking up the prestigious Ballon d'Or and Fifa World Player of the Year among others.
But the Portuguese international believes there is even more to come. Last season was always going to be difficult to emulate and this has proved the case with Ronaldo notching just ten goals this campaign.
"I can't say ten, so nine," Ronaldo insisted when rating his performances last term.
"I think I can improve all the time. Ten is the maximum and I haven't reached the maximum yet, so I'd give myself nine.
"I hope ten out of ten is to come. I believe it will.
"My challenge is always to be better and better. You have to try for that. If you don't try you don't win anything.
"I'll try and be as good as I was last season but it's hard. I know if I keep working hard and doing the right things, my form is going to get better and better.
"So I don't worry. But this season I'd give myself eight out of ten."
