Ledley shrugs off speculation

Joe Ledley is refusing to read too much into the ongoing rumours regarding his future at Cardiff.

The Wales international is regarded as one of the hottest properties outside of the Premier League and has regularly been linked with a Ninian Park exit.

West Ham are the latest club believed to have joined his lengthening list of admirers, with Stoke and Arsenal having expressed an interest in the past.

However, with the Bluebirds yet to see their valuation of Ledley matched, the 22-year-old insists his sole focus remains on helping his current employers to be as successful as possible.

"It is great to be linked to a Premier League club and, if I continue playing well, then who knows what might happen?" Ledley told the South Wales Echo.

"I've got to put the speculation to the back of my mind. It's flattering and proof that I must be doing something right.

"But nothing has happened. I must continue to do what I've been doing on the pitch.

"It is not down to me anyway, it's down to the club. So I will just concentrate on playing well and helping the team continue to achieve good results."
