Le Guen allows Mulumbu deal

Paris St Germain coach Paul Le Guen has paved the way for midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu to join West Brom.

The Baggies had initially requested to take the Congolese international on trial but this was rejected by Le Guen.

But the former Lyon and Rangers boss has now admitted that a transfer is a strong possibility after both clubs began negotiations.

The 22-year-old has only featured twice for PSG all season and is said to be keen on the switch to England.

"Contrary to what has been stated, Youssouf Mulumbu is not held up at Paris," he told the club's official website.

"I agreed with our chairman to negotiate notably with the West Bromwich coach, in case of a proposition.

"However, I don't want a trial."
