Harry - Palacios to add bite

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp believes Wilson Palacios will bring a new dynamic to his side.

Palacios, who had a trial at Arsenal in 2007, is poised to complete a £14million move from Wigan Athletic to Spurs, subject to securing a work permit.

The battling midfielder has impressed during his 12 months at the JJB Stadium, and Redknapp has talked up his latest addition as the club look to pull away from the relegation zone.

"We need to improve the squad and that is why I was interested in Palacios," said Redknapp.

"He will come in here and get after it and play aggressively. He will work and close and run. I feel that we need a bit of that around the place.

"Palacios is a player I have liked since I first saw him, and he has the ability to go on to become a top, top player.

"I just like the way he plays. He is an all-round modern midfielder - he gets after it, he is box-to-box.

"I speak to people who have played against him, like Frank Lampard, and no-one has had an easy game against him. He is after you all the time."

Meanwhile, Spurs have announced that the price of season tickets at White Hart Lane will be frozen for up to two years.

Fans who take advantage of the offer for the 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 campaigns will also be able to benefit from the current reduction in VAT of 15 per cent - effectively renewing at a cost lower than they paid for the current season.
