Valeri Bojinov has played down speculation he could leave Manchester City in January, stating he is keen to prove himself at the club.
The former Fiorentina and Lecce ace has barely kicked a ball for the club after suffering a series of long-term injuries during his time at Eastlands.
Bojinov is being tipped to return to action this month, although the 22-year-old is not looking to cut short his injury-hit City spell.
Despite being linked with a move to Serie A outfit Lazio, the Bulgarian has no thoughts of returning to Italy as he is keen to show City fans what they have been missing.
"At the moment I am not thinking of moving back to Italy as I have immense aspirations to prove myself at Manchester," he told the Italian press.
"I feel much better as I have started training with a ball, but I miss the game rhythm.
"At the moment, the team are positioned below expectations, but I am sure that my team-mates know very well what is expected from all of us and I believe things will soon move in the right direction."
