
Hull midfielder George Boateng faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.
The former Middlesbrough and Aston Villa star was carried off on a stretcher during Wednesday's FA Cup replay win over Newcastle.
Hull boss Phil Brown confirmed Boateng sustained knee ligament damage and could be out of action for up to three months.
"It looks like it could be the medial ligament, the extent of which we're not sure about, but we're possibly looking at two or three month," Brown the Hull Daily Mail"It's a big blow to lose someone with George's experience."
Former Holland international Boateng has made 18 first-team appearances for the Tigers since his £1million move from Middlesbrough last summer.
