Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia believes El-Hadji Diouf is 'happy' at the Stadium of Light after holding discussions with the forward.
The Senegal international is thought to be considering his future with the Black Cats after revealing he has been approached by Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce - who he worked under at Bolton - and Wigan chief Steve Bruce.
Diouf was not a first-team regular under former Sunderland manager Roy Keane and has also struggled to secure a spot in the plans of Sbragia after the Scot took over in December.
However, Sbragia is confident Diouf - who played in last weekend's FA Cup victory over Bolton - is content on Wearside after talking with the 27-year-old.
"I have spoken to him in the last couple of days and he seems happy - they all seem happy if they are playing football, that's the important thing about it," said Sbragia.
"He played on Saturday and he was excellent. That's what I knew he could do [from his time] at Bolton.
"He set himself a standard and he has to keep to that standard."
