Ancelotti keen to keep Kaka

AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti is hoping to retain the services of Brazilian superstar Kaka.

The former World Player of the Year has recently become embroiled in a transfer saga which looks set to run and run.

Premier League outfit Manchester City are reported to be preparing a £100million approach for the South American playmaker, an offer which would smash football's transfer records.

Kaka has come out and committed his future to Milan, claiming he has many ambitions still to fulfil at the San Siro, but City continue to suggest that a compromise could still be reached.

Rossoneri boss Ancelotti has now joined the debate, admitting that the Serie A giants are weighing up a sizeable bid from the Blues, but revealing his desire to keep his prized asset in Italy.

"I believe there is a negotiation ongoing and hence, it's something the club will have to evaluate with the player," he said.

"My hope is that I can coach Kaka for many more years but we have to look at what the club evaluates regarding an offer that has been presented.

"It's normal that regarding the player there is a lot of importance placed on the role that he has at Milan.

"The stories change, you cannot think of the football of 20 years ago, in football great investors are entering and it's normal and right to evaluate it in this way.

"The aims remain the same for the team, with or without Kaka."
